Engel & Völkers Renews Partnership with Special Olympics International
After celebrating more than $1 million in funds raised, the luxury real estate brand increases sponsorship commitment
Engel & Völkers today announced that it has renewed its sponsorship of Special Olympics International for another five years, continuing its network-wide initiatives and fundraisers designed to support a shared mission to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people, starting in local communities.
Through the power of sports, Special Olympics International helps people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills, and success. Engel & Völkers has supported the organization through dedicated fundraising and awareness programs, including Contribution at Closing which allows its advisors to contribute a portion of their commissions to the cause, annual network-wide fundraising events such as 60 Minutes for Special Olympics, as well as coordination of athletes speaking at local shop events and the company’s annual EVX event.
“We are committed to giving back to and investing in the neighborhoods we serve because these too are the places in which we live, play, and raise our families,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “Special Olympics athletes contribute to our story. From them, we learn, we think differently, and realize what we can accomplish as individuals, as local brokerages, and together across time zones and borders—it’s a common good that unites us.”
Engel & Völkers shops and real estate advisors throughout the Americas support the organization throughout the year by hosting and participating in local events including Polar Plunge® fundraisers, auctions, and coaching, in addition to participating in networkwide events. Engel & Völkers provides participating shops and advisors with dedicated marketing materials to raise awareness and awards its shops and advisors that have shown exceptional leadership in supporting Special Olympics as part of its annual awards and recognition program.
“Engel & Völkers is an incredible partner helping to build a more inclusive world for Special Olympic athletes and others with intellectual disabilities,” said Zehra Sayin, chief communications, marketing, and development officer, Special Olympics. “We are so grateful for their support, which reached a major milestone last year – more than $1 Million raised for the movement. We look forward to continuing to grow together over the next five years and build a better world for people of all abilities.”
